The Agile Manifesto’s values and principles need to be applied differently in different cultural contexts. Raya Software made the decision to transform its practices to those of agile software development in early 2008. As an Egyptian company, it was faced with challenges specific to Egypt’s cultural context. This session aims to share adoption insights with non-US companies that want to embark on the journey towards becoming an agile organization, describing a mental model to plan for such a transformation. It also has relevance for US-based companies working with offshore partners.
